National Cancer Survivors Day® is Sunday, June 5!

On National Cancer Survivors Day® – Sunday, June 5, 2022 – people around the world will unite to recognize cancer survivors, raise awareness of the ongoing challenges cancer survivors face, and – most importantly – celebrate life.

Check out some of the creative ways these organizations hosting registered National Cancer Survivors Day® events are bringing their communities together for NCSD 2022:

Daisy Drop
In Rome, GA, Cancer Navigators is holding its annual Daisy Drop on the Chief John Ross Memorial Bridge in downtown Rome. Attendees can drop a complimentary daisy into the river and pay tribute to loved ones affected by cancer. To connect with Cancer Navigators, follow them on Facebook.

Take a Waterfront Walk

Surfs Up on Survivors Island

Enjoy a Day at the Gardens
The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine is hosting an event where survivors, along with their caregivers and families, can safely mingle and celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day. 5K Fun Run/Walk & Butterfly Release
On National Cancer Survivors Day®, Pink Ribbon Symposium in Orange Park, FL, wants you to come to their NCSD celebration, which includes a 5K fun run/walk and a butterfly release. Cancer Survivors Celebration Walk & 5K
Lurie Cancer Center is hosting its 29th annual event to honor cancer survivors and celebrate the strides we’re making in our understanding and treatment of cancer. This event features a non-competitive walk or chip-timed 5K run along the lakefronts, t-shirts, refreshments, music, family activities, and more. “Stayin’ Alive! Bust a Move on Cancer!”

Drive-Through Celebration
Participants can decorate their vehicles and wear costumes to this celebration hosted by Gilda’s Club Kansas City. Attendees will receive a t-shirt and a cancer education bag full of giveaways and information from local and national community organizations. “Give Cancer the Boot!”

Candle Lighting Ceremony
