Hundreds of communities around the world celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day® 2016 on Sunday, June 5. Tens of thousands of people across the globe came together to recognize the cancer survivors in their communities, to raise awareness of the challenges these survivors face, and, most importantly, to celebrate life.
Photos of these exuberant and heartfelt celebrations are featured in the latest issue of Coping® with Cancer magazine.
Each year, NCSD national sponsor Coping magazine provides the exclusive coverage of National Cancer Survivors Day® in its July/August issue, using photos submitted by NCSD event coordinators. The 6-page feature spread highlights amazing photos and stories from Survivors Day events held all over the world.
In addition to the print exclusive, Coping has also posted an online NCSD photo gallery at copingmag.com. The gallery includes all the photos featured in the print addition, plus photos from even more NCSD 2016 events.
National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual, treasured Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities nationwide and around the world. It is a celebration for those who have survived, an inspiration for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of support for families, and an outreach to the community. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful, productive, and even inspiring.
Coping® with Cancer magazine is the premier magazine for people touched by cancer. A national sponsor of National Cancer Survivors Day, Coping has been a source of knowledge, hope, and inspiration to people worldwide for 30 years. Coping is written by and for the cancer community and is read by more than a half-million people in the waiting rooms of America’s private practice oncologists, urologists, and cancer treatment centers.
